Une pure merveille…
Kubrick// One-Point Perspective
“Part of Kubricks obsessive visual panache was the consistent repetitive use of the One-Point Perspective. Essentially, the one-point perspective is a manner in which three-dimensional objects can be represented in an image by having intersecting vertical and horizontal lines radiating from a single point. This short film by kogonda masterfully weaves shots from the director’s oeuvre, pulsing along to a soundtrack of Clint Mansell’s “Lux Aeterna,” a track best known as “that Requiem for a Dream song.” Each shot utilizes the same framing technique: a wide angle with everything in focus, directed at a single point in space in the dead center of the frame.”
